Postage Value Imprints (PVI) on Flats and Packages

Oops.

This was supposed to be an example of Customer Paid Postage on the Post Office's (relatively) new electronically generated labels. The item was originally shipped to the customer in a plain box and cost $5.75 to ship via Priority Mail. So when I found out I needed to have her ship it back, I printed the above label on December 20 and mailed it to her to use in returning the package.

I received it back in the mail about January 31st. She had taken my prepaid postage label for $5.75 and used it on a new Flat Rate Box. The only problem is that the "One Price" the circled text trumpets is $7.70 not $5.75. An interesting philatelic curiosity.
